Inventor CAM for Inventor and Solidworks
With Inventor CAM, available only as part of the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection (PDMC), you can simplify the machining workflow with integrated 2.5-axis to 5-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn CAM for Inventor and SOLIDWORKS.
New features launched in PDMC include:
Probing: Utilize electronic probes to accurately position and measure parts.
Engraving: Engrave shapes or text into your parts.
Chamfering: Chamfer corners while maintaining collision control with parts.
Wrapping: Perform wrapping for 4-axis parts.
Some of the core features of Inventor CAM include adaptive clearing, which reduces roughing time by a factor of 4 or more compared to traditional roughing and increases tool life. It’s multi-threaded application and multicore support also reduces toolpath calculation times, which makes it highly optimised for advanced part programming and consequently very suited to large or complex jobs. Simultaneous 4 and 5-axis features include multi-axis contouring, 3D toolpath tilting and more. Support for live tooling and mill-turning improves productivity with traditional turning, facing, grooving and boring functions. Other features include tool holder avoidance, slope machining and stock and toolpath simulation.
Post Processor Development Service
With the FREE availability of Inventor CAM within the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection, customers can have a single software interface to support their integrated CAD/CAM requirements. It is essential that the software is optimised to drive the CNC machines as efficiently as possible. To do this, fine-tuning the post processor is a critical component of the process.
Man and Machine offer an Inventor CAM/Fusion Post Processor Development and Adjustment Service, giving you a readily accessible method of requesting posts online. We are unique in being able to offer post-processor development for CNC machine tools on Autodesk products. If you would like to know more about how we can help you then please visit our Integrated CAD/CAM page. If you would like to request a quote regarding the Post Processor service then please visit our Post Processor Development Request page and fill out the information requested.
