From September 19th 2023 Autodesk now includes the latest updates in the installers for software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Inventor.
This will simplify the administration and installing of software for administrators as there will be no need to run additional installs for updates.
Autodesk have found that more than half of customers are using outdated versions. It’s important to run the updates/latest version as this can include performance improvements and security fixes.
What does this mean?
For most users day to day, this change wont make any difference. Upon downloading and installing your Autodesk software the latest updates will be included and no further action is required.
If I already have Autodesk software installed, do I still need to install updates?
Yes, this feature only effects new installs, so if you already have Autodesk software installed you will still need to install any updates when they are released.
How can I update my existing Autodesk software?
You can sign into the Autodesk website where you can download and install the latest updates, you can also update your software via the Autodesk App.
